Objective
Looking for a manager architecture who can help in analyzing the core network technology for a ISP business and providing the best result oriented approach.
Responsibilities:
- Identify requirements, design documents, and implement technical solutions for scalable and resilient national network architecture. To develop contingency/fail-over network systems to ensure network performance and customer service satisfaction.
- Analyze the problems and then design and implements solutions involving business, IT technology, methodology, process, tools and solution components.
- Perform high level network design with cost/benefit analysis and delivery effort and timelines.
- Evaluate new technology and new vendors and participate in decisions for final selection.
- Manage the deployment and implementation of new network designs and new technology/vendors while taking care about minimizing downtime and impact for existing user base and services.
- Design and oversee the monitoring and proactive alerting of all networks related components.
- Manage a team of few highly skilled network engineers/architects, hire new talent responsible for ever-growing technical challenges.
- Acts as an escalation point for network/service-related problems that are unresolved by the other teams.
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Advanced knowledge in design, implementation, and management of MPLS, VPLS based networks, as well as EVPN, VXLAN and routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, IS-IS
- Deep understanding of how ISP related Software and Protocols work: Radius (AAA), DNS, DHCP, bRAS/BNG, PPPOE, etc
- Understanding fiber based transport solutions like DWDM and experience with high-capacity networks of 400 Gigs and beyond.
- Strong understanding of network design principles and experience with developing network solutions
- Experience with configuration, deployment, upgrading, and troubleshooting complex network environments and multi-vendor devices.
- Proactive, flexible attitude to work with a willingness to constantly review and improve skills and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated high level conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to difficult and complex problems.
